Employ Prince George’s, the Prince George’s County’s principal workforce development entity, is teaming up with 2U, Inc., a Lanham based education technology company, to launch a scholarship program that would build the county’s pipeline of technical talent and put high-quality training programs within reach of our diverse residents.

The Access 2 Education Scholarship will allow historically underrepresented candidates in tech the opportunity to enroll in 2U’s career accelerating boot camps in Coding, Data Analytics, UX/UI, and Cybersecurity through local nonprofit universities like The George Washington University.Â

To help extend the reach of our partnership, we’re asking employers across the Capital Region to consider investing in this scholarship fund and to invite colleagues who may be interested as well.
EMPLOY Prince George’s is responsible for policy development and workforce activities related to administering services and programs funded by the Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA), signed into law July 22, 2014. They are the bridge between job seekers looking to begin or change careers, and businesses looking for skilled workers to maintain competitiveness in a changing labor market.
1. We collect your personal information and education records when you enquire about, register or enroll in  an Event or our Services. The primary purpose of collecting this information is to provide Events and Services to you, and perform necessary associated administrative activities, which will enable you to take part in the Events and Services. We will also use your personal information to administer our relationship with you (including determining your eligibility for our services and responding to your queries), identify you and your account, provide and improve our services, communicate with you, for internal business purposes, for promotional and marketing purposes, and to comply with legal, regulatory and other obligations.
2. We may disclose your personal information and education records for educational and administrative and support purposes, such as facilitating access to Events and Services, to business partners, potential employers, our education partners, and in response to a valid legal process.
3. We may engage in promotional and marketing activities, and where you have given us permission, to send you information about the products and services of third parties. Information received from you may be used to provide you with promotional and marketing materials. You can opt out of promotional or marketing information you receive from us.
4. If you do not provide some or all of your personal information, we may not be able to provide you with some or all of our Services or participate in an Event.
5. Â We may store your personal information and education records on secure servers located in the U.S., and may access your personal information and education records from our offices in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Ireland and Mexico
